Pediatric Neurology

UW Health pediatric neurologists offer consultation, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for children with a variety of neurological conditions, including:

  • epilepsy and seizures
  • tics
  • headache
  • developmental delays
  • CP diagnosis
  • autism
  • movement disorders

Diagnostic services include electroencephalography, electromyography and evoked potentials, imaging (MRI, CT, X-ray and positron emission tomography carotoid duplex scanning (Doppler).

UW Health Neuropsychologists in the Charles Matthews Laboratory provide comprehensive neuropsychological examinations to assess the brain and cognitive/behavioral dysfunction.

Treatments are now available for many neurological diseases and conditions, and can include medical drug therapies, immune modulatry therapies, surgical procedures and deep brain stimulation which are provided in subspecialty and general neurology clinics.
