University of Sheffield, UK
6 years lab specialist within neuroscience
I have a variety of lab experience from rat pup hippocampal acute and chronic slice culturing to slice electrophysiology and the study of the biochemical pathways involved in learning and memory. My current project involves identifying the role metabolism plays in the biochemical process of memory consolidation and storage. The cutting edge techniques being implemented include acute hippocampal slice electrophysiology, shRNA viral gene delivery into the hippocampus, and acute hippocampal slice in vitro drug application.
